Our Journey to Mexico is back after a great 10 day journey with 6 planes to Puerto Vallarta, San Miguel de Allende, Merida in the Yucatan Peninsula. We had to change our first destination from Cancun top Puerto Vallarta due to Hurricane Rafael on the way. Here are some pictures of our flight and arrival in Puerto Vallarta.

Air Journey was pround to be a part sponsor of the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation to support bright aeronautical students achieve their dreams. Thank you TBM Owners & Pilots Association for organizing a great event at the Kennedy Space Center. It included a behind the scenes tour of Cape Canaveral, a private dinner under the Atlantis Space Shuttle with stories from Astronault John Grunsfeld, seeing a live Space X Falcon 9 rocket and last but not least, landing on the Space Shuttle Runway at KTTS.

Keeping the best for the end... Our last stop on the NORDIC EUROPE Journey was Alesund, Norway! While staying at the beautiful Storfjord Hotel, our adventurers got behind the wheel of electric Porsche Taycans (Cross Turismo), to drive on the famous Atlantic Road (James Bond road) or the Trollstigen and experienced a helicopter ride over and in between Norwegian Fjords.

Enjoying a fine culinary experience is not what you expect when you are 700 miles North of the Artic Circle and just 500 miles from the North Pole... But the Funktionærmessen Restaurant in Longyearbyen delivered a very unique and intriguing dinner with flavour combinations inspired by an international cuisine.

Our adventurers on the way to Longyearbyen, Svalbard Airport, Spitsbergen. Located at 78 Degrees North, Svalbard airport is the Northernmost Airport in the world with public scheduled flights. A few interesting facts:
- Svalbard is so far north it would be permanently locked in by ice without the Gulf Stream
- The sun doesn’t set in Svalbard for five months of the year. The opposite of the midnight sun in summer is the polar night during the winter. It commences around the beginning of November and ends at the end of January. You will not see a glimpse of the sunlight in Svalbard during that time.
- Longyearbyen is so far north it is just 814 miles from the north pole
- The Global Seed Vault is located on the edge of Longyearbyen and was opened in 2008. Situated in a former coal mine, the seed vault holds copies of all the worlds seeds to ensure against loss in the event of a global crisis

Our Nordic Europe Journey is well underway. After crossing the North Atlantic and stopping in Greenland (Ilulissat) and Iceland (Akureyri & Reykjavik), our adventurers have flown to Norway, Sweden and Finland. Stay tune for more photos as they continue their journey.
