FunShip Friday is about Carnival Cruise Line, “Fun Italian Style!” 🇮🇹

This past year Carnival introduced the Carnival Firenze and the Carnival Venezia to its fleet; the same great experience with an Italian flare!

With new dining options, the Carnival Firenze sails from Long Beach, CA to Mexico while the Carnival Venezia sails from New York City and Port Canaveral to the Eastern and Western Caribbean and the Bahamas. Some other Italian features include the architecture, artwork and the Italian flare added to the drinks.

FunShip Friday is all about Cozumel, Mexico! Cozumel is a beautiful island located in the Caribbean Sea just off the eastern coast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. Cozumel is famous for its amazing scuba diving and clear blue water. 🏝️

When you dock in Cozumel, the port has plenty of stores for your souvenirs and restaurants with authentic Mexican food. Make sure to try some homemade guacamole and salsa at Three Amigos! If you are a baker, be sure to buy the Mexican Vanilla…Mexico is the original birthplace for the vanilla plant. For more shopping and restaurants, take a short taxi ride downtown. The taxi station is located right at the port with current per person rates.

For our beach lovers 🏝️ (like us) take a taxi to one of the beach clubs just a short drive from the port. Most of these beach clubs do require reservations in advance so be sure to check availability before your sailing.

FunShip Friday is about one of our favorite events we offer to our performance groups… the Master Dance Class with a Carnival Cruise Line dancer. 💃🏻🛳️

A one hour master class with a warmup, combination, and a Q&A session. Sometimes they even teach our dancers a short piece from one of their shows onboard.

We love saving time at the end of the hour for our dancers to ask any questions they may have about being a dancer onboard. After their experience with our program, some of our dancers have gone on to auditioned for Carnival or other cruise lines. ❤️

After a hiatus, FunShip Friday is back! 🛳️

Did you know you can check your cruise history under your Carnival profile? You can see info like the sail date, ship, destination, and how many VIFP points you earned.
You earn VIFP points by the days you sail. For example on a 5 day sailing, you get 5 VIFP points.

Log into to your Carnival profile, click on “your name” at the top right where it says “Hi, (your name), and then you click on “My Cruises.”

If you think you are missing a cruise, you can fill out a form to claim a past cruise. You will need your booking number, ship, and sail date.

Think you have two profiles? Reach out to us and we can combine them so you will get all of your cruises on one profile to keep earning those VIFP points!

August 3, 2024…our 2024 season is officially done. In 7 and 1/2 weeks we had 1,371 guests sail and 462 cabins booked between 12 groups.

Thank you so much for trusting DANCIN’ AT SEA to book your cruise experience. We couldn’t have done it without the tireless hours of the dance studios and parents that work hard for their kids to be able to experience dancing on a cruise ship.

To all of the dancers that put in countless hours of training and rehearsals, you guys killed it! 🔥 The shows were absolutely incredible!!! Packed show lounges with standing room only, standing ovations, and amazing comments from cruise guests that weren’t with our group! Some cruise guests even begged for the dancers to perform again that evening 🤣 Thank you for your dedication and professionalism. 💕💙

U.S. Domestic Cruises and US Citizens: Passport or Birth Certificate for a cruise?

While a birth certificate and photo are accepted for a cruise as of right now, we HIGHLY recommend a passport. Every cruise travels to another county so if you needed to get off the ship in a port for an emergency, you would not be able to fly home with a birth certificate. If traveling with a passport, make sure it is valid for more than six months after the cruise ends. Pro Tip: The passport line is ALWAYS faster than the birth certificate line at debarkation. 🪪🛳️
