Did you know?
Nellie Coffman was a prominent figure in the development of Palm Springs, California. She founded the Desert Inn in 1909, which was one of the first hotels in the area, and played a vital role in bringing tourism to the city. Nellie helped establish the Palm Springs Desert Museum, which is now known as the Palm Springs Art Museum. Her contributions to the community were key in shaping Palm Springs into the popular tourist destination it is today.
