Join Revel for our monthly cross-country ski social. These events are beginner-friendly and welcome to all. We’ll review skiing basics at the trailhead and then head out for a leisurely adventure.

Did you know we offer 50ish and over hikes every month? They repeat on the third Tuesday at a different trailhead:)

First-timers can join for free! After that there is a small registration fee that covers permitting, insurance, and staff time. We have scholarships available for any community events with a fee, so please reach out if cost is a barrier to your attendance.

Wow, what a night! We had such a blast at the kickoff for our Winter Speaker Series on Tuesday evening. Thanks to all the lovely folks who came out and participated in the discussion of risks, hazards, vulnerability and wild ice!

We have our first Intro to Snowshoeing clinic on November 23. Emily will provide an intro on snowshoeing basics and then hit the trail - max group size is 8 participants. Sign up today to save your spot!

Skiing? Snowshoeing? Winter hiking? We have tons of fun winter activities planned. Come check out our winter calendar and learn about all the other wonderful winter activity options in the valley.

Less than a month away! We're super excited to host this Winter Resource Expo on Saturday, October 5. Our friends at Revel are helping coordinate all the details.

If you are hunting for a winter activity to keep you moving during the dark + cold months, this event will be the place to learn about different activity options in the valley!

You can expect:
* Local clubs (like the Mat-Su Ski Club and Palmer Curling Club to have info on their winter events
* Info on community classes and events from local nonprofits like Onward & Upward, Skeetawk, and Valley Mountain Bikers and Hikers
* Gear demos from local businesses, like ice fishing 🐟 with Adventures by True North AK
* Info on avy courses with Alaska Avalanche School and opportunities with Hatcher Pass Avalanche Center
* And we're pumped to announce that Alaska’s Best Gourmet Dogs will be slinging food for the event 🌭

Our Talkeetnas backpacking trip is in the books! Three days, two nights in the backcountry 🏔 This crew ended up being all women adventurers, and these gals are TOUGH. What an honor to spend a few days in the mountains with this group.

We logged some tundra miles, crossed some boulder fields, and spotted some wildlife and wildlife signs. 💩

Did you know visitor trips help ensure we can provide community programming like this to locals in our area?

How? A portion of visitor trip revenue offsets costs for our locals trips. This means we can provide trips to locals at a reduced rate 🎉
