It’s finally here. Christmas 2020. Christmas has always been my most favorite time of year. It’s the time of year where we celebrate HOPE and the birth of our savior. It’s the time of year for family and making memories. It’s the time to give, which is far more fun than receiving. As I reflect back on this year, I have so many emotions. Thankfulness and gratitude rank at the top for sure, but there have certainly been frustrations and worries. There has been sadness for so many of my dear friends. I can’t help but just lean on these words from my favorite Christmas song.

The thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.

O night when Christ was born

It’s been a weary world this year, my friends. But I have seen so much HOPE as well. I have seen so many rise to the occasion. So many conquer things they’ve never had to endure before. I’ve seen the good in people. And I choose to believe there is more GOOD to come.

This holiday season, my prayer is that you will be ignited with HOPE for the future. I pray that as you reflect on this past year, you will find blessings even in the times of the darkest storms.

And may you never turn down a good pillow fight!
