Good morning to all of friends and neighbors. I wanted to share something with you that I hope can be of a benefit to some of our many veterans. Since I’m a veteran of the Marines, and that My son and I have a full time fishing charter business in Panama City beach Florida, we are giving away a fun filled fishing weekend for as many veterans as we can. Our goal is 30 veterans. The final number will be determined by the number of sponsors we receive Please see the attached flyer. Hopefully the admin will be ok with this because my goal here is to help get veterans out on the water. .

Our first sponsor is Royal flush plumbing. With their support we now can get 6 veterans out fishing later this year. They are the most professional plumbing company I have ever dealt with. Spring time is right around the corner and for many of us, especially in the south we cant wait. We are not accustomed to all this cold weather. Now is the time to start booking your fishing trips. We have openings for some half day Spanish mackerel trips right in the bay. Your choice mornings or afternoons. This is the perfect trip to get your kids involved in fishing. Spanish are a blast to catch.catches of upwards of 100 fish in a few hours are not unheard of. They are small hard fighting fish and make good table fair. Yesterday we finally had a day here in the keys where we could get out and do some fishing off the edges of the reef. Water was still rough just not as bad. Wind was 10-15 mph and cool but we still managed enough fish for dinner. Caught some cool looking fish. We caught a bunch of “look downs”. A flat very shiney fish with a mirror finish. Couldn’t keep those but honestly there is more meat on a pancake than one of those fish. Caught a ton of yellow tail snapper but most were undersized and had to be put back and caught some yellow jacks. I’m not a sushi person but the yellow jacks were the best tasting sushi I have ever tried. Lastly Bobby caught I’m guessing a 15-20 pound barracuda. He was a blast on bass fishing gear. Today we are heading out to the marathon hump in search of black fin tuna, big Mahi, and the unicorn, the ever so elusive wahoo.

Double knot charters is in Marathon Keys Fl. The wind has blown 20-30 mph. The water is warm and beautiful and we had 80 degree weather today.
