From the oldest European city established in the US to the Spanish-style architecture of St. Augustine, to the rich military history of Panhandle, Florida is a destination that excites and educates its visitors. The streets of St. Augustine and the colonial architecture has over 400 years of history and stories to tell. When you visit the city you might feel holy as you tread the same footsteps as the 16th-century bishops.

Florida is the 27th State to unite with the USA back in 1845. In 1513 Florida received a title-Pascua Florida. It was given by the Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de Leon, who was the talisman of the first European expedition to Florida in the year 1513. The name Pascua Florida originated from the Spanish Easter Celebration. Pascua Florida translates to “Feast of Flowers”.

At the end of the French and Indian War in 1763, East and West Florida became the 14th and 15th British colonies respectively. Later in 1783, The Treaty of Paris returned Florida to Spain. The Louisiana Purchase in 1803 and U.S. intervention in an uprising in West Florida led to the formation of present-day East and West Florida. During the late 19th century, people from the Northern states flocked to Florida to escape from the harsh winters. At present Florida has one of the world’s leading tourism industries attracting millions of tourists annually.

The Sunshine State

Florida is nicknamed the sunshine state because of its warm and balmy climate with its natural beauty. Florida is also home to some of the world’s best-known theme parks, including Disney World, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld where millions of tourists visit each year.

It houses over 20 million people and is the third most populous state in America. The sunny beaches attract millions of tourists and are the perfect spot for anyone who has a deficiency in Vitamin "Sea"! And if you need some actual vitamin C you are at the right place as Florida produces 67% of the U.S. oranges and accounts for 40% of the world’s orange juice supply.
