It was on June 12, 1948, when President Harry S. Truman signed into law the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act of 1948. This act allowed women the right to serve as permanent, regular members of the United States Army, United States Navy, United States Marine Corps, and United States Air Force. Prior to then, only women nurses could serve in the regular and reserve forces during peacetime.
We are PROUD to be veteran owned and operated and to recognize the significance of this day in history! Without the Women's Armed Services Integration Act of 1948, I would have been unable to serve in the United States Navy. [Robin]
Today marks the 76th anniversary of this history changing law!

If you are leaving Panama City via Southwest airlines today, you may want to rethink your arrival time at the airport. The line for Southwest to check bags was all the way past TSA, past the information desk and down to the rental car area. This was just to check in the bags. I didn’t go anywhere near TSA to see how long the lines were for TSA but this was all Southwest airlines.
