We are grateful...

Our parents, Bill and Ethyl Sunderland, found one of the most beautiful spots on an exceptionally lovely Adirondack lake, Paradox, and purchased it in 1950. The 8 cabins, located on a quiet cove between two points, had been built as a hunting and fishing camp in the 1930’s. Our parents renovated all of the cabins, with an eye toward preserving their rustic charm and the unique character of each, while increasing modern comforts. Each cabin is close to the lake, some close enough to drop a pebble into the lake from the deck, or to watch the fish (and sometimes, the loons or ducks) swimming below, and each cabin has a lake view- some of those views are breath-taking!

We have grown up spending summers here, and continuing the work of our parents: welcoming guests, caring for the cabins and the beautiful surrounding environment, creating a garden, and feeling grateful that we can continue to spend our summers in such a special place, with many people care about, including extended family, guests, helpers, and friends.
