35th Annual
Cowie International Amateur Wine Competition
September 6th and 7th, 2019
Our annual competition is held to promote and reward amateur wine making.
Friday Evening
Pot luck dinner in the arbor of Cowie Winery for all competition participants and spouses from 6pm ‘til- Participants are encouraged to bring a dish to pass as well as a bottle of their entries to share with others. Only home-made wines are allowed this evening. This is the only alcohol allowed on the premises by direction of the management. Don’t forget your folding chair!
Saturday Celebration
Begins with the blessing of the Wines
Followed by the Award Ceremony
(MEDALS are awarded for GOLD, SILVER & BRONZE, a certificate is awarded for Honorable Mention. Best of Class, Double Gold, Best of Show receives an engraved Silver Tray)
The Grape Stomp is next with Kristy leading for the 38th year!
All are encouraged to stomp grapes and do your best I Love Lucy Imitation!
Bring your cameras to record your memories & fun!
Everyone purchasing a wrist band will receive a Cowie Vineyard Wine Glass to enjoy tasting of the award-winning wines. Cheese & crackers are provided to cleanse the palate and enhance your enjoyment of the wines!
Wrist bands are $15.00 at the door. (Competitors Entry Fee provides 1 wrist band and 1 wine glass)
