Hyatt Recently Named Among the Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality in 2021
For the 17th consecutive year, Hyatt earned a 100 percent rating by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Annual Corporate Equality Index (CEI).
Hyatt has recently been recognized by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, the largest Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Q***r (LGBTQ) civil rights organization in the United States, as one of the Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality in 2021. This recognition is noted as part of the HRC’s Annual Corporate Equality Index (CEI), which is the nation’s foremost benchmarking tool measuring company policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality.
Hyatt’s 2021 CEI score reflects progress across every measurement category – from adoption of inclusive nondiscrimination policies to equitable benefits to efforts to engage the LGBTQ community. We’re proud to share that for the 17th consecutive year, Hyatt has received a perfect score of 100 percent on the CEI report!
Furthermore, Hyatt Regency Mexico City has earned a 100 percent rating in the 2021 HRC's Equidad MX report – an annual survey evaluating LGBT-inclusion in major workplaces across Mexico. Modeled after HRC’s Corporate Equality Index, this survey assesses three core pillars of LGBT inclusion including:
Adoption of nondiscrimination policies
Creation of employee resource groups or diversity and inclusion councils
Engagement in public activities to support LGBT inclusion
These results are truly inspiring and further show our colleagues’ commitment to promoting LGTBQ+ inclusive policies and practices across our business. Thank you to our colleagues for helping make Hyatt an inclusive workplace and bringing our purpose of care to life!
