A huge thank you to the businesses that participated in our first ever Fright Fest decorating contest. This year's Fright Fest Most Spirited Business award went to Forward Bank, with their spooktackular scarecrow and decorations. Make sure to check out the display as you trick or treat tonight.

It's almost time to get in a different holiday spirit! Watch for our Christmas decorating contest in December 🎄🎅🏼☃

During Fright Fest, many people participated in our Scavenger Hunt Raffle. The lucky winner was Andi Ellner. She received huge prize basket donated by participating businesses valued at over $200.

What better way to prepare to feast than the annual Turkey Trot 5k walk/run! The first female and male overall finishers will receive a $50 Kwik Trip gift card! All registered participants will be entered into a door prize drawing. Bring non-perishable food items to earn extra entries. Drawing will take place after the trot. You can start at any participating business or the Chamber trunk or treat booth. Just visit as many as you can, and turn in your card to the Chamber booth by 1:00pm. Today is the day! Fright Fest from 10am-2pm followed by the free movie sponsored Northwoods Community Credit Union at 2pm. There are yummy snacks for sale, businesses to visit, and plenty of free candy for everyone! Pumpkin drop will be at 11am in Preisler Park.

Stop by the last Park Falls Farmers Market for the season, tomorrow October 16th 2-5:30pm.

Please join us at the Park Falls Farmers Market Wednesday, October 16th. The market is held at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church on Highway 13 every Wednesday from 2:00pm – 5:30pm.

This week at the market you will find apples, pumpkins: white and orange, carrots, Brussels Sprouts, a variety of squash, rutabagas, kohlrabies, cabbage, garlic, onions, beets, tomatoes, cucumbers, white and red potatoes, locally produced honey, maple syrup, eggs, plus a variety of breads, and other baked goods such as sour dough breads, sweet breads, cinnamon rolls, and donuts. There is a great assortment of canned goods such as Fruit Jams & Butters, Pickles, Salsa, & pickled beets. For the off season stock up on freeze dried foods and dog biscuits plus Bigfoot Bbq Sauce to enjoy with some grass-fed Black Angus beef. There will be a nice variety chrysanthemums, and gourds. The harvest season is at it’s peak. A great time to prepare for the winter months.

Wednesday, October 16th is the last day for the 2024 season.

Just a reminder for WIC and Senior Market Coupons, please remember to use your dollars for fresh fruits and vegetables Wednesday October 16th.

Most vendors accept Quest Card (EBT), WIC and Senior Market Coupons.

Fright Fest is Saturday, October 26th! We will be dropping the giant pumpkin at 11:00am in Preisler Park with help from the Park Falls Fire Department and City of Park Falls Crew. If you've ever wondered what goes into growing and harvesting a giant pumpkin, look at these photos of Mr. Risch's amazing set up. He works extremely hard to grow us a pumpkin to drop, as well as a competition pumpkin for the Nekoosa Pumpkin Festival. Come for the drop and pick up a seed or two to try your hand at growing!
