When we purchased the building at 113 Ann Street in February of 2022, we believed that investing in the creation of a new welcome center at that location would lead to tremendous benefits for our tourism partners and our community. Our vision has become a reality, with over 8000 recorded visitors at the center in 2024. We are truly honored to have received the Excellence in Tourism Development award from the WV Hospitality & Travel Association in recognition of the positive impact that our new welcome center has had in our area.❤️

You’re invited to the grand opening of the Resiliency Center in Downtown Parkersburg, Tuesday, Feb. 4, starting at 11 a.m.!

The Resiliency Center is a versatile, large gathering space that can be utilized as an emergency shelter, for mass casualty events, or for testing or vaccine distribution. The main meeting room will support 400 people in a seated banquet setting, while the multiple meeting rooms could host breakout sessions.

The original opening was rescheduled due to weather conditions.

Quilters can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of beautiful North Bend State Park this February at the Quilt Camp, February 16 - 21. Relax and get to work on those quilting projects and relax in the lodge lobby in the evenings.

Can't make it the event in February or love it so much you want to participate again? North Bend State Park is also hosting a Quilter's Getaway March 23 - 28.

Downtown Parkersburg Restaurant Week has been extended through February 1. We know it's been difficult to get out in the cold and snow, and we don't want you to miss out on the specials being offered at each of the locally owned restaurants in downtown Parkersburg. All specials and hours will remain the same for the second week. The Blennerhassett Museum of Regional History has a NEW EXHIBIT! 🤩 “First A Wafer – Then a Waffle.” Learn all about the long and interesting history of Wafers & Waffles. See the new acquisition of an early Wafer Iron. Explore how Mrs. Blennerhassett made and served these food items at the Blennerhassett Island Mansion. Join Discovery World on Sunday, January 26 in celebration National Lego Day for their 2nd Annual LEGO Build Off Competition!! 🤩 Your kids can show off their creative engineering skills in this fun competition!
