There you will find locally sourced meat, cheeses, milk, seafood, produce and even to-go salads, soups and sandwiches! serves their fresh breads, pastries and pies too! My kids can’t get enough of their chocolate croissants! Open daily 10am-5pm.

We have had the privilege of hosting guests from Italy, United Kingdom, Peru, Canada and all over the United States. Never did I dream I would be invited to a guest’s son’s funeral or have the opportunity to cry and pray with a hurting visitor. Just like education, ministry is everywhere if you have eyes to see. It’s not regulated to a particular building or a day of the week. Incredibly thankful that the Lord entrusted us with this little cottage where people continually come and find rest for their weary souls.

Since living on this dream property, we have had the privilege of hosting multiple weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, baby showers, countless church events and video/photo shoots. Thursday we had our first midnight marriage proposal underneath the majestic oak and it was beautiful!Congratulations & ! So excited for you and this next season!

In the last 6 weeks, we’ve gone on a missions trip to Mexico, graduated our first daughter from high school, drove to North Carolina for our annual family cousins cabin trip, another week for our staff retreat in NC, and a few days in St. Augustine celebrating my mother in law’s 70th birthday and this week my 2nd daughter turned 16! Shoooooweee!!! Oh and we leave for Africa next Saturday for two weeks! I really love traveling with family, doing missions trips and stirring up awe and wonder in creation. But I have to tell you, there’s nothing like the warmth of the morning as the sun’s rays pierces through the trees branches as I walk this road of ours. The comfort of the familiar. While cows moooo and roosters crow, the Florida humidity moisturizes my skin reminding me there’s no place like home. If you’re needing a little summer refuge, come away to the Cottage and just be. God’s yoke is light and easy.

Our weekend guests asked if we could decorate the cottage for a birthday so we went a step further and baked them a yummy layered cake 🎂 too! Happy you chose to celebrate your birthday with us at the cottage! 🎉

I’ll never get over these trees. I could’ve cared less what this tired, foreclosed house looked like when we bought it. When I saw this property canopied by these majestic oaks and heard the wind causing the leaves to dance and sing, I knew I needed them in my life. One of our guests perched himself high with the best view of the sunset the other day which made me laugh and my heart soar! I love that we get to share it with others to bask in the glory too!

We got to host two special families this week who needed a little getaway with their kids! One spent their days at .armandscircle and and one rode Thomas the Train at the right down the road in Parrish! Spring break in Florida can’t be beat!

It’s been one month since we opened our doors to Airbnb guests from all over the world. We’ve already shared tears and heartbreak as well as rest and wonder with our guests turned new friends. I feel incredibly grateful with each guest/family the Lord entrusts us with as they pass through the Cottage at Gamble Creek Retreat. One thing I know, you can’t mistake the beauty of creation that is abundant here. ♥️

Early morning walks with Jesus on our street and property are an anesthetic to a heavy heart. The anticipation of creation as the sun shows up to paint the new day hearing the rooster crow and feeling the mist on my face is better than any movie. God is in control. He’s taking care of all of this, surely he will take care of me. He is faithful through all the seasons, all generations. Rest. Trust.

It blesses my heart to have a space that brings people together like this. Life is hard, celebrate big when you can! We got to host two of my students wedding today on our property and it was beautiful! And… was the perfect pizza truck for this event!

Give me a cold topo chico, a good book with my feet in the sand and I am one happy girl! Thankfully we are only a short drive to some of the most sought after beaches on the west coast of Florida. Anna Maria Island, Lido Key & St. Petersburg beaches are only 20 miles away where you can spend the day soaking in vitamin D or simply chase the stunning sunsets with a pizza picnic playing family spike-ball. (Try saying that 5 times fast 🤪)
