Hacking life as a neurodivergent, travel edition.
Did you know that if you wear a sunflower lanyard at an airport, the staff are trained to recognize it as an indication of hidden disabilities and be ready to provide assistance, if needed? (Or just give you extra time/space if you appear to be struggling.)
You can get one for free at participating airports. You can also order one from hiddendisabilitiesstore.com.
P.s. They don't ask for proof or for information about a diagnosis. ❤️
Also, last I checked, the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program is recognised in more than 160 airports worldwide, including over 50 in the United States. (And the list is growing)
Follow Hidden Disabilities Sunflower - USA on fb and .us on ig for more about this amazing program.
