Dear Anderson Adventure Camp H2O Parents-
I hope that this letter finds you and your family healthy and staying safe and strong during this unprecedented time that we are all going through relative to COVID-19.
As an organization, we have discussed many different options and scenarios as to the best way to be able to offer summer camp in 2020. Sadly, however, we have concluded that given the state and local authorities plan to open back up communities and businesses in phases, that our window to operate is going to come too late to make a meaningful difference for you and your families this summer. Coupling this with the requirements of social distancing, wearing a mask, and group size here in California, further signals significant challenges that fail to meet the reasonable expectations that you have of our program as well as our ability to offer the quality camp program that we are accustomed to providing, and that your children deserve.
If there is any change to the California or Pasadena guidelines that impacts our ability to offer our summer camp programs this summer, and it is safe for our counselors to work and for the campers to attend, know that we will revisit the possibility of offering the camp in 2020.
I hope that you and your family stay healthy and know that we look forward to seeing you and your campers in the summer of 2021.
