Back home on Long Island after the AMASerena - ASTA River Cruise Expo 2024. Then 2 river cruises on the Ama Mora to the Dutch and Belgium waterways and the second on the Ama Prima from Basel to Amsterdam on the Rhine River. Flew back from Amsterdam to JFK and finally finished my Global Entry interview at JFK so waiting for my global entry card!

Flying to Basel Switzerland tomorrow morning and will be joining my first group on a river cruise, all first time river cruisers with Ama Waterways! I look forward to seeing my friends and cousin again and sharing a cruise on the Rhine river through France, Germany and The Netherlands!

In many European countries they have removed atm machines. In Amsterdam they have removed 80% of them and most shops only take cards, no cash
Euro coins are needed to tip local guide and bus drivers which are difficult to get.
Our cruise managers said you can use dollar bills.
My recommendation is the bring 50 dollar bills.
