Beginning this Sunday, January 26th, 2025, the Paul Smith's College Draft Horse Club will be offering horse-drawn sleigh rides at the VIC! Rides will occur every Sunday through the end of March.

Sleigh rides will be 30 minutes long with rides beginning at 11:00 AM, 11:45 AM and 12:30 PM. Registration is required and space is limited to six visitors per ride. Rides cost $25.00 per person. Visit our website (link in bio) or call the front desk at (518) 327-6241 to reserve your spot.

Are you passionate about outdoor recreation and ready to make a real impact? Franklin County is looking for a Tourism Recreation Coordinator to help oversee and enhance our incredible multi-use trail systems and support tourism initiatives across the county.

In this role, you’ll:

-Coordinate the implementation of the County’s Multi-Use Trails Master Plan
-Work with agencies, landowners, and volunteers to maintain and improve trails
-Identify and manage tourism grants and oversee their administration
-Partner with recreational and entertainment groups to attract and promote events
-Manage social media and marketing efforts for the County’s trail system
-Develop and maintain signage, grooming schedules, and enforcement plans for trails
