✨ We are HERE! ✨

We’ve been planning a summer getaway for a while now. Had flights booked to NYC, cancelled last minute, drove last night after work and woke up this morning in DISNEY! 💕🥳✨

Brandon & I have actually never been to Disney together just the two of us! I am SO excited to show him why this was the best choice we could have made! I promised to take it easy on him 😆 let the fun begin!

This year's spooktacular runs from August 9th through October 31st on select nights. But be warned - tickets for this separately ticketed event will sell out fast!

Mark your calendars, Halloween fans! Tickets go on sale May 8th for Disney®️ Resort guests and May 15th for all grim grinning guests.

✨🌺 Happy Flower & Garden Festival Day! 🌺✨

🌸 The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival kicked off today and it was SO FUN being there on opening day!

🌼 The topiaries never cease to amaze me year after year! There’s a few new ones this year you can’t miss including Groot from “Guardians of the Galaxy” and Michael from “Coco”!

🌸 Swirled Showcase had the most insane Mascarpone Cheesecake- whatever you do don’t miss this! My favorite dish this year! 😋 & you can never go wrong with anything from the festival kitchen in France!

🌺 It was such a beautiful first day! I hope everyone has the best time when visiting the festival this year! The festival runs now through May 27th! 💗

✨ Did you know there is a Royal Portrait Studio in Magic Kingdom?! ✨

👑 This special PhotoPass opportunity is located inside of Sir Mickey’s and is open to all guests! There is no fee to have your picture taken and no reservations are required.

📸 If you have purchased Memory Maker for your trip, your PhotoPass photos captured during this experience will be available to download in your My Disney Experience account!

💗 This is the perfect spot to have portraits made after a royal transformation at the Bibbidi Bibbidi Boutique!

➡️ Swipe to see what the outside of Sir Mickey’s looks like and where you can find it on the park map!

❣️Pro Tip! Simply log into your My Disney Experience account and choose the map icon from the Home Screen. From the map you can default to which park you are visiting. At the top of your screen choose the drop down arrow and a new menu will appear! Choose the option that reads “PhotoPass”. All PhotoPass locations in that park will appear with the PhotoPass icon on the map! Cool right?! 😃

✨ After Hours returned to Disney’s Hollywood Studios®️ last night and I am SO excited this event is back! ✨

🎟️ This separately ticketed event occurs on select nights through April 10th and takes place from 9:30pm to 12:30am.

🎢 Enjoy low wait times at your favorite Studios attractions! This is a limited capacity event 👏🏻

🍿 Popcorn, ice cream novelties, and select beverages are all included in your ticket price! Did someone say all you can eat Mickey shaped ice cream bars?! 😋

🖤 Plus, meet some of your favorite characters! Rumor is Duffy the Disney Bear made an appearance last night! 😮

I went last year and had an absolute BLAST! I would 100% do this event again! 🥹

‼️ Well, It’s official! The beloved Country Bear Jamboree is closing temporarily on January 27th for refurbishment!

🎶 The show is getting a total revamp and is set to reopen its doors sometime this summer!

🐻 This is bittersweet for me! I am looking forward to the new show but I just love the original so much!

🎢 ALL DAY Park Hopping has officially returned to Walt Disney World Resort ®️!!!!

👏🏻 I am SO excited about this! Seeing this on the calendar makes my heart oh so happy! I love the flexibility this brings to your park day, no more waiting until 2pm to hop! 🥳

✨ Other BIG things happening today: ✨

🍔 The long awaited Dining Plans returned today!

🎟️ No more park reservations required for date based tickets!

🎶 CELEBRATE good times! Come on! 🎉

✨ My top tips for attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! ✨

🎄 Make a game plan! The party takes place from 7pm to midnight with ticket holders able to enter the park as early as 4pm! There is so much to do- character meet and greets, treat stations, Holiday entertainment, rides… and not enough time to do it all! Discussing your families priorities ahead of time and making a tentative game plan for the night will help you maximize your party time!

🍔 Eat a big meal before the party! Select quick service locations are open throughout the night with some locations closing early. Locations can be busy, especially during the beginning of the night- eat before and you won’t waste time waiting in line for food or chance a location closing early! Plus- more room for cookies & hot cocoa! 🍪😍

😴 Rest up before and after the party! Make sure to schedule in a break at your resort for some down time before the party starts if you are visiting a park that morning. Don’t plan an early morning the morning after the party either! The party lasts till midnight and you still have to make it back to your resort when it ends! Early entry the morning after a party makes me sleepy thinking about it! 💤

🤸 Be flexible and most importantly HAVE FUN! There are just some things that are beyond our control… the weather, a ride may temporarily close down, a character may take a break, etc. So being able to be flexible and pivot when needed will help make the night be the best it can be! ♥️🎄

There is nothing more magical than celebrating the Holidays at 🎅🏻🎄⛄️❄️♥️

✨Did you know that at Disney’s Pop Century Resort guests decorate their room windows?! ✨

⭐️ This is one of my favorite traditions when staying at this resort! It’s such a blast seeing all of the creative window displays people come up with!

🏆The amazing Mousekeeping team joins in on the fun by giving out awards for their favorite window displays!

🎃 This was our window from our stay in September and we were so excited when we got back to our room and saw that we had received a ribbon! 🎉

🪄 I love this unique way to bring some extra magic to your resort stay!

🍍Swirls on the Water offers a variety of soft-serve flavors including DOLE Whip®️ Pineapple!

🍦This location serves up delicious floats too! The adults in your group can even enjoy a float with alcohol 🎉

🎃 We tried the seasonal offering- the DOLE Whip®️sampler (pictured)

⭐️ Flavors Included:

- Pistachio & Purple Cheesecake soft-serve topped with roasted salted pistachios

✨ Let’s talk about Minnie Vans ™️! ✨

❤️ The Minnie Van ™️ service connected by Lyft is one of my favorite ways to get around the Walt Disney World Resort!

⭐️ You can request rides through the Lyft app and can be taken anywhere on Disney property! Just press “Select Minnie Van” to book your ride.

⭐️ Minnie Vans ™️ run from 6:30am to 12:30am, 7 days a week!

⭐️ Each vehicle is owned by Disney and is driven by an amazing Disney Cast Member. That extra added security knowing you’re in the Disney bubble is worth so much! (Special shout-out to David who made our Magic Kingdom morning extra magical!)

⭐️ Each vehicle comes equipped with two car seats and adds fun extra touches such as playing Disney music & cartoons 🏰

⭐️ Pro Tip: When taking a Minnie Van™️ to Magic Kingdom you will be dropped off where the Disney buses drop off and not at the Ticket & Transportation Center! 🎉

✨ Did you know that when you see this special vehicle at your resort that means characters are there?! ✨

🎉 As soon as we checked in to Pop Century Resort last week we spotted this vehicle out front!

🌼 Daisy, Chip, & Dale we’re all there in the lobby to greet us! They even had an awesome PhotoPass Photographer to snap photos of the character interactions! 📸

🏰 This was such a cute and convenient way to meet characters outside of the parks without waiting in lines! 👏🏻

❤️ Be sure to look out for characters at your resort on your next trip!

Please join us for the second annual Day of Service in honor of Jennifer Nichols. We will serve and celebrate her legacy in volunteering, and giving back to her hometown!

Details:
We will join our local organization, Keep Horry County Beautiful in a day of service honoring Jennifer Nichols during her birthday month on Saturday, September 9th at 10am!

Where: Please park at the intersection of Calhoun and Waccamaw Drive in Garden City (*Encouraging carpooling with anyone you know attending to ensure parking will be easy) *Clean-up will be on the beach beginning at 10am sharp until 11:30 am.
*If you attended last year- it’s the same location!

Following the service event from 11:30am-1:00pm, lunch will be at Chimichanga llama in Surfside Beach (14 Ocean Boulevard S., Surfside Beach, SC 29575)

Additional Information:

- We have t-shirts again this year, including kid sizes! 🤗

- Please bring a bottle of water, hat/sunscreen, as it is likely to still be pretty hot out:) & pray for good weather!! No lightning storms this year! 😅

- All cleaning supplies will be provided by KHCB, so you do not need to bring any supplies!
