news you can use!
Have you tried to rent a car lately and thought..whoa, I didnt want to buy a car, I just want to rent it for a week. While during the pandemic, there were some great deals on car rentals , there are some reasons that those rates may be just a memory! It is really a question of supply and demand.
During the pandemic , car rental companies had to sell off large percentages of their fleets; they sold off as many vehicles as they could as quickly as they could to size down for lack of rental demand. For most of 2020, the reduced fleet was not a problem..people just weren't renting cars.
Things have changed in recent months; people want to travel! That is leading to the supply and demand issue...fewer cars and higher prices. Some travelers headed for popular destinations like Hawaii or Phoenix, are finding high prices or cars completely sold out. It is going to take some time and money before car rental companies can expand those fleet inventories.
When you can, rent those cars in advance. When you book your flight with us, ask for the rental car at the same time. If it turn out you dont need it, we can always cancel it.
