The Navarre Beach renourishment project has been completed and our beaches are more beautiful than ever! Over 1.1 million cubic yards of sand was brought in near the Gulf Islands National Seashore and the Navarre Beach Marine Park to increase the width of the beach by 100 to 200 feet. Gulf Blue sends our thoughts and prayers to the family, friends, and fellow servicemen and women of the Marine and Blue Angels pilot, Captain Jeff Kuss, who died on June 2nd during a rehearsal prior to the Blue Angels air show in Smyrna, TN.

It is reported that Captain Kuss bravely stayed with his plane instead of ejecting so as to ensure that the crash did not injure anyone in this highly populated area. The Blue Angels are a special part of our Gulf Coast community, and Captain Kuss will be dearly missed.
