Clothes are all packed…. Swimsuits, hats, shorts t shirts , sun shirts, hats , sunscreen, gnat spray, extra swimsuits , towels, flip flops, bigger hats for no wind , a small bit of patience for all the things in cannot control and a humbling heart

Ok, the clock is ticking

Just a brief reminder, sailboat cove is a wildlife refuge and has no restaurants or Stores and no Roads. Across from sailboat cove on the north shore of big lagoon there is Southwind Marina with ice, fuel, and some snacks.

We will be on the hook for three nights at Sailboat Cove, so please plan accordingly for food and drink! Sailboat cove is the house symbol on the chart

Ok, sitting here in our backyard grill enjoying the evening and was wandering, just how many of the cruisers making BEER this year really wants to make that 25 mile trip back from Jaunas to sailboat cove Sunday morning??

We have the option to still meet at Little Sabin Bay Friday evening and head west Saturday morning to big lagoon and sailboat cove.

It’s an easy 9 miles or so to the anchorage and there we can socialize n the water and cook on the beach with bonfires at night for Sunday and Monday nights where we will catch the blues flying their practice show!

This will require provisioning more food and drink though!

Of course this is all weather permitting!!

Here is a VERY helpful link to area boat ramps you can select from for this years Beer Cruise!

The info was designed for small (sail?) boats. Consequently it does not include places that require passage under low bridges or rowing/motoring long distances. Ok, time is ticking away towards BEER 2024

So, this year we would like to try and get a little of everything for everybody!

This year we want those who want sail and those who want to float in the water and hang on the beach to come out and enjoy what BEER Cruise has to offer!!

As like In the past couple years, all sailors will need to find a ramp to launch from and we will meet on Friday evening in little Sabin bay. We will then meet at Shaggy’s for dinner and a brief skippers meeting.

Saturday, sail over to Navarre and anchor out at Jaunas sailors grill!

Sunday,This is where the sailing kicks in for those that want you to sail!!

This has never been done before during any BEER Cruise! We will sail 28 nm to sailboat cove from Navarre passing up quiet water.

This gives us Sunday evening and Monday and part of Tuesday to rest up and enjoy being on the hook swimming and socializing!

Now, of course this ALL depends on WEATHER and we do have the option to drop into save anchorage’s if needed!!

Tuesday, after the Blue Angels fly their practice show, it will be time to return to reality and head back to your boat ramps to haul out and head home!

All right it’s time to start thinking about B.E.E.R. 2024!

I’m liking the route from last year!! But talking with a few people that had kids, they also like the option of a home base anchorage and day sailing.

Like 4 days at sailboat cove weather permitting or Ft Mcree!

We could anchor there and sail the gulf, big lagoon, Pensacola Bay, and so on.

Please, give us some feedback and help 2024 be a fun cruise for all!!
