Remember the sea turtle nest we posted about exactly two months ago?! Well, the little fellas hatched two nights ago! It was a perfect night with a bright moon and clear skies. There were about 90 hatchlings and they all made it to the water!!๐Ÿ™Œ Hopefully, they will beat the odds and live on to come back one day to make their own nests!! Today, the volunteer is listening for any more activity underground. This was considered a very successful hatching!! ๐Ÿข

DREAMERS!๐Ÿค— We have some exciting news!! We finally have another sea turtle nest just to the east of the building!! This is a very big deal around here as they are on the endangered species list. Weโ€™ll be counting down the 60 days until the little hatchlings make their appearance and head for the gulf! We just hope and pray the waters are kind and that people will leave the nest alone to give them the best chance of survival. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿข๐Ÿ˜Ž
