"Baruch Chag Kodesh Sameach" (Blessed Holy Days)
"Chag Sameach” (Happy Holy Days)
Leviticus Chapter 23 we find a list of Holy Days and/or Feasts of YHVH. The Hebrew word used to describe them is מּוֹעֵד (moʽed), but these are not mere Festival's nor even a Day simply set apart from other days.
Biblically, the word "mo'ed/mo'edim" is mentioned in the Book of Genesis. Its root – יעד (yaʽad) – has the meaning of establishing or setting an appointed time. In this context, the word מּוֹעֵד means nothing short of an appointment with YHVH, set by Yah Himself. This also proves that the Feast are not centralized to the "Jew's" only, but are essential for all of humanity....especially Believers!
“And Yah said, Let there be lights in the firmament of heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons (mo’edim)?, and for days and years: and let them be for lights in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.” (Genesis 1:14-15)
“Yah said, “Let there be lights in the dome of the sky to divide the day from the night; let them be for signs, seasons (mo’edim), days and years; and let them be for lights in the dome of the sky to give light to the earth”; and that is how it was.”
(B'resheet (Gen) 1:14-15)
“And YeHoVaH said, Let there be lights in the raki'a of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for otot (signs), and for mo'adim (seasons), and for yamim (days), and shanim (years); And let them be for lights in the raki'a of the heaven to give light upon the earth; and it was so.” (Bereshis 1:14-15)
We also can see that at an "appointed" "course" or within the "process" (ketz: completion; end; fulfillment: Hb: 7093) of time speaks concerning the Feast's of YHVH to Ha' at Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel.
“And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Yehovah. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Yehovah had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.” (Genesis 4:3-5 )
“In the course of time Kayin brought an offering to YEHOVAH from the produce of the soil; and Hevel too brought from the firstborn of his sheep, including their fat. YEHOVAH accepted Hevel and his offering but did not accept Kayin and his offering. Kayin was very angry, and his face fell.” (B'resheet (Gen) 4:3-5)
“And in ketz yamim it came to pass, that Kayin brought of the p'ri haadamah a minchah unto Hashem. And Hevel, he also brought of the bechorot of his tzon and of the chelev thereof. And Hashem regarded [with favor, respect] unto Hevel and to his minchah: But unto Kayin and to his minchah He had not regard. And Kayin was very angry, and his countenance fell.” (Bereshis 4:3-5 OJB)
The Apostle Paul also informs the Beleivers' the ekkelsia (assembly/congregation/call out) at Corinthians to observe/ "keep the Festival of Unleavened Bread"; however, interesting enough, we continue to rebel and refuse to accept correct Biblical Doctrine by continuing to adhere and observe the traditions of men and doctrines of devils which are nothing more than ungodly pagan practices.
“Purge out the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, even as ye are unleavened. For our passover also hath been sacrificed, even Christ: wherefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” (1 Corinthians 5:7-8 ASV)
“Get rid of the old hametz, so that you can be a new batch of dough, because in reality you are unleavened. For our Pesach lamb, the Messiah, has been sacrificed. So let us celebrate the Seder not with leftover hametz, the hametz of wickedness and evil, but with the matzah of purity and truth.”
(1Corinthians 5:7-8 CJB)
“Purge out the old chametz (leavened bread), that you may be issa chadasha (new dough, batzek, deaf dough, having no indication of fermentation), as you are indeed like matzot (unleavened bread). More than that, our Korban Pesach has been sacrificed, Moshiach. So let us celebrate Pesach, not with old chametz, nor with the chametz of kavvanah ra'ah (malice) and wickedness, but with matzot of kenut (sincerity) and emes." (Kehilah in Corinth I 5:7-8 OJB)
Therefore, if this is true, and it is, concerning the "Celebration of Four of Yehovah Holy Days" mentioned in Leviticus 23 (Sabbath; Pesach/Passover; Unleavened Bread/Matzot; and Firstfruits/Birrkim) then all of His Holy Days are still to observed today (Pentecost; Shofar/Trumpets; Atonement [Judgement Seat of Christ]; and Tabernacle's)
“O ye sons of men, how long shall my glory be turned into dishonor? How long will ye love vanity, and seek after falsehood? [Selah] But know that Yehovah hath set apart for Himself him that is godly: Yehovah will hear when I call unto him.” (Psalms 4:2-3)
“Then Yehovah said: “Because these people approach me with empty words, and the honor they bestow on me is mere lip-service; while in fact they have distanced their hearts from me, and their ‘fear of me’ is just a mitzvah of human origin —” (Yesha 'yahu (Isa) 29:13)
“Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, This people honoreth me with their lips; But their heart is far from me. But in vain do they worship me, Teaching as their doctrines the precepts of men.” (Matthew 15:7-9 ASV)
“Take heed lest there shall be any one that maketh spoil of you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ: for in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily, and in him ye are made full, who is the head of all principality and power: in whom ye were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ; having been buried with him in baptism, wherein ye were also raised with him through faith in the working of Yah, who raised him from the dead. And you, being dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, you, I say, did he make alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses; having blotted out the bond written in ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us: and he hath taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross; having despoiled the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
(Colossians 2:8-15)
“Beware lest there be anyone of you taken captive through philosophical tevunah (wisdom) and empty deceit according to the kabbalah (oral tradition) of mere Bnei Adam, according to the ikkarim (basic principles) of the Olam Hazeh and not according to Moshiach; Because in Moshiach kol melo Yehovah (all the plentitude of G-d) finds its bodily maon laShechinah (dwelling place for the Shechinah). And you have been granted melo (plentitude) in Moshiach, who is the Rosh of all rule and authority. In Moshiach also you were circumcised with a Bris Milah not made with human hands, a Bris Milah of the surgically removing of the body of the basar (old fallen and unregenerate nature) in the Bris Milah of Moshiach, Having been buried in the Ohel of Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach's tevilah with him, with whom also you were made to stand up spiritually in the Techiyah together through your emunah and bitachon in the ma'aseh of Hashem who made Moshiach stand up from the Mesim. And you being dead in your peysha'im (YESHAYAH 53:8) and your orlat basar (uncircumcision of flesh) he made alive together, you together with Moshiach, having granted you selicha for all your peysha'im; Having erased the handsigned sefer of guilt choiv (debt), the heavenly indictment against us in the maleh chukat haTorah (full statute requirement of the Torah), which was against us. Moshiach has done away with this opposing record, having nailed it to Moshiach's Etz. Having disarmed the rulers and the authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, having triumphed over them by Moshiach's Etz.” (Kehilah in Colossae 2:8-15)
“Watch out, so that no one will take you captive by means of philosophy and empty deceit, following human tradition which accords with the elemental spirits of the world but does not accord with the Messiah. For in him, bodily, lives the fullness of all that God is. And it is in union with him that you have been made full — he is the head of every rule and authority. Also it was in union with him that you were circumcised with a circumcision not done by human hands, but accomplished by stripping away the old nature’s control over the body. In this circumcision done by the Messiah, you were buried along with him by being immersed; and in union with him, you were also raised up along with him by Yah’s faithfulness that worked when he raised Yehoshua from the dead. You were dead because of your sins, that is, because of your “foreskin,” your old nature. But Yah made you alive along with the Messiah by forgiving you all your sins. He wiped away the bill of charges against us. Because of the regulations, it stood as a testimony against us; but he removed it by nailing it to the execution-stake. Stripping the rulers and authorities of their power, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by means of the stake.” (Colossians 2:8-15)
