Days ago we had a question about large, full Ruby Loropetalum. I mistakenly thought ours were all small, 1 gallon plants. Tonight I found these! Not as big as desired but if others cannot be found, here we are, $15. 1 gal. $7. Also, when I click the persons message to answer, the phone instantly reverts to the Nursery main page. ???? Maybe if I restart and clear the little brain?

with over 100 camellias growing around the nursery, it makes sense we’ve got a couple with lost id tags. without Mr Abe to identify, this one is a mystery (early bloomer, medium height, large flower). any guesses?

A nice outcome of the week of drought, when our irrigation was off after Helene:

W**d or wildflower? The blue mist flower is a native to the southeast and grows prolifically, blooming from July to November and attracting bees and butterflies. It’s been a volunteer in so many of our pots for so long we’re going to start growing it on its own!

The water is back on! But if you’re looking for some great, draught tolerant plants, this is a picture of the Texas Purple Sage after a full week with no water—in pots! Lots of things can handle drought in the ground because the roots have more room to find water, but in pots it’s a bigger struggle. These make a great medium sized hedge and grow small purple flowers before it rains.
