Generations of families from all over the country come to Northern Michigan year after year. It’s about jumping off the docks into our fresh lakes. Jaw dropping sunsets that produce a feeling that can’t be captured in a photo. Watching the white powder fall through the air while warming up next to a cozy fire before hitting the slopes day after day. Hiking to the top of the trail to capture some of the most vibrant colors you’ll ever see. These are the things we want to share with you. This is why we live here and why we love what we do.

We understand the significance of vacations, the time away with family and friends. We also understand the investment of being a property owner – the time and expense of owning “a cottage.” It is our mission to provide exceptional customer service to our travelers and superior detail of our owners properties. We believe that by combining the two, everyone involved can truly enjoy a great experience.

Founded in 2008, Danielle Smith began her career managing vacation rentals and found a significant passion for the work. Danielle joined Gaslight Group Properties in 2012, an affiliate Real Estate Company she co-owns with Mac McCarthy and Pete Platte. Shortly thereafter they formed the brand VPNM. Together with their local knowledge they have become a superior management company while also leading Gaslight Group Properties as one of the top real estate sales companies in the area. The combination of these two businesses and their team of experts provides unparalleled service in all facets of rental management and sales.
