Emily is an on-location photographer who loves working with natural light ! She is currently based in Austin, TX but travels and works in Southeast Texas as well ! She loves to collaborate with clients who have unique ideas. For the past 8 years, EMagery has specialized in weddings, bridal portraits, engagements, families, and senior graduates. Also offered : Pet photography, small events like anniversaries, vowel renewels, birthdays, and elopements! Emily and her husband Beau have recently partnered up to offer photography + wedding officiant service packages. Hi there! My name is Emily Huval and I am the owner of EMagery. I started taking pictures with a Polaroid camera when I was 12 years old, and I haven’t stopped documenting life ever since. Before we had a computer, I was scrapbooking my developed film almost every week! That love for film evolved into joining Lamar University’s Fine Arts program and pursuing my degree in photography. I had the privilege to be taught by renowned Texas photographer- Keith Carter. For several years after I graduated, I worked as his studio manager and personal assistant where I learned about historic photographic processes and perfected the art of darkroom film photography. Some day I would LOVE to exclusively shoot film but for now, I am in love with my two Canon MarkV cameras and I enjoy editing digitally. I also love private tutoring for Lightroom and Photoshop courses to those looking to learn the program or fine tune their editing techniques!

When I am not working, you can find me tending my succulent garden, hiking through Bull Creek, searching for new swimming holes in and around Austin, practicing my ukulele, or watching cartoons / binging the latest BBC crime series / rewatching Game of Thrones or Rick and Morty for the 100th time !!! I also love my fur family, my pets are my kids. My dog Sam is my “First Born” - but I am a cat lady at heart.

I have been shooting for over 8 years, and as a full time career since 2015. Meeting new people, making friends along the way, and having fun at what I do are just a few of the reasons I decided to make memories for a living.
