Here is my day at Ketchikan, Alaska. I started by wandering around Creek Street discovering totem poles and where the salmon swim on Creek Street. Then, I was fortunate enough to go sea kayaking among the Tatoosh Islands, part of the Tongass temperate rain forest, and worked up a sweat and was too close for comfort with a humpback whale. The zodiac ride to the islands was thrilling. My favorite part of my dinner that night was the fresh halibut. Stay tuned for more days in Alaska ahead.

On a cruisetour of Alaska in May 2024 on Holland America Line's MS Noordam started in Vancouver where I discovered a great little diner to have a meal once I arrived in town. Embarkation day started with an exploration of Stanley Park. What a super sun shiny way to occupy my time before the terminal was ready to check me in. 3 ships at one port, can you say lines?

On a cruisetour of Alaska in May 2024 on Holland America Line's MS Noordam. You MUST visit the White Pass Rail. I traveled by train to Fraser, B.C. from Skagway, Alaska. Then took a bike ride DOWN the Klondike Highway back to Skagway. Incredible vistas plus some bonus wildlife sightings.
