How to Frame adventure activities? That is a great question you as an educator should ask your travel provider. An activity like zip-lining can be just a fun adventure...but as great educators, we look to maximize each experience and our educational outcome. So ziplining is not just flying through the clouds, it’s learning about microclimates, layers of life in the canopy, and how ecotourism can contribute to habitat protection. Expand your comfort zone and your palate with the delicious hand made tortillas of Belize. Learn the traditional Mayan way of making tortillas but be careful! Girls in town pride themselves over their tortilla's being better than their neighbors! They may even go looking for a Cane Toad to hold in order to make their tortillas puff when cooking! That is the Mestizo and Mayan tradition.

When you travel immerse yourself in the culture. Experience hands-on and when you come back you will feel like a different person, but maybe keep the toad holding to the professionals...

A young person needs quiet time and time to reflect, especially when traveling, to understand that what they are living is a life-changing experience. The classic 'highs and lows at the end of the day' doesn't allow a young person to really do that. We want your students to go deep and to make connections to their lives back home, to create curiosity and to become a more harmonious and sustainable human being.

Meet the Quechua women in the Peruvian High Andes and learn how their dresses are rooted in traditions from Pre-conquest Peru. Each village has a unique style of clothing that identifies the wearer as belonging to that region. Indigenous women in the Andes dress in layers of beautifully bright, colorful traditional Andean clothing, including capes, shawls, embroidered skirts, and vibrantly colored hats.
