Had a great time showing these brothers around Philly. It was a private custom tour so I got to use some routes I’ve developed but rarely show people, including UPenn and Franklin Square Park. Glad to see these flamingoes became semi-permanent.

Say hi to our newest tour guide, Joe! Joe comes to us with many years of experience exploring Philadelphia on bicycle, including memories of the city in the 90s and a first hand knowledge of the ways the city has evolved since then. He’s been a yoga instructor, comic shop manager, art teacher, and podcast host. All the things we look for on a resume. So glad to have Joe on the team. Give a wave when you see him in the streets!

Due to the MLK Drive Bridge closure, my Fairmount Park Tour route has become longer and a bit more hilly. At just under 15 miles, I call it “moderately challenging” and I’m not offering many this year, but I do have one coming up this Friday if you’re interested! Setup has begun for the great Chinese Lantern Festival in although it doesn’t officially open until June 21. There are mixed feelings about holding a ticketed event in an entire public park, HOWEVER it is always free to check everything out during the day. To me that’s a worthwhile compromise, but the misgivings are also valid. The night time event is highly recommended and worth the price of admission. All opinions by so direct hate mail accordingly.
