ROCKYFEST WEEK IS HERE! Celebrate the 48th anniversary of Philadelphia’s most iconic film franchise with a city-wide series of events to honor the City’s most famous fictional Southpaw, and the Philly sites that made the film famous!

Rocky Day, a new city holiday which celebrates the original film's release date in 1976 is December 3. RockyFest's city-wide events will run through Sunday, December 8 2024!

Consider adding the Philadelphia Zoo to your next tour of Philadelphia!

The Philadelphia Zoo is thrilled to announce Thomas Dambo’s TROLLS: Save the Humans, produced by Imagine Exhibitions, is making its East Coast debut in Philadelphia on February 1, 2024! The world’s leading recycle artist created these six, folklore-inspired Trolls using repurposed wood. The Trolls are on a mission to inspire humans to take better care of nature.

The Trolls, each with a unique name and story, believe rethinking how we live our daily lives will help save the planet for all animals, including humans, and they want to share their ideas. Bring along your Zoo Key or purchase a Zoo Key at the Zoo Gift Shop, to listen to each Troll's story when you meet them. The Trolls are stomping through the Zoo from February 1 through April 15. The Trolls, ranging up to 15 feet tall, will be located throughout the Zoo’s 42-acre campus. The exhibition is included with price of admission and membership.

The renowned travel authority highlighted the top 10 cities across the globe for travelers to visit as part of its larger travel guide of 50 destinations to visit in 2024. And — you guessed it — Philly made the list!

In fact, the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection is one of only two U.S. spots to make the “cities” list.

Finally, after patiently waiting it out through the pandemic, our student tours are back!! And what a fabulous trip to kick it off as our 8th grade class explored Boston! GTC handled everything during this jam-packed 48 hours of fun! From the Freedom Trail to Quincy Market, bowling and arcades, cool museums, duck boats, tour of Harvard University and private tour of Fenway Park, the excitement never stopped!!
