While doing a little “spring cleaning” I discovered the big tables are easily removed and look at the stamp on each one that was obscured by the wall. The unbelievable amount of original items still on this car amazes me more every day!

Join us for an exceptional three-day excursion aboard the historic Colonial Crafts as we make our way from New York City to Burlington, Vermont, all while savoring the once-in-a-lifetime experience of observing a total solar eclipse.

Itinerary:

Sunday April 7th, 2024
•2:19pm: Depart New York City Penn Station on the rear of Amtrak train 291 the Ethan Allen Express.
•5:04pm: Departing Albany enjoy drinks and appetizers before enjoying a chef made dinner in the spacious lounge.
•9:55pm: Arrive Burlington, Vermont and settle into your private room while Vermont Railway whisks our cars over to a private car track alongside Lake Champlain.

Monday April 8th, 2024
•8:00am-10:00am: As you awake with the morning views of Lake Champlain join us for breakfast in the lounge.
•2:14pm: Eclipse begins as you enjoy it from what venue you’ve selected. There’s a huge list of events all over the surrounding city to choose from.
•3:26pm-3:29pm: Witness totality as the Sun will be completely blocked by our Moon as it passes between the Sun and Earth, darkening the skies as if it were dusk. In the case of clouds, it will be as dark as the middle of the night. Vermont saw its last total solar eclipse in 1932, and Burlington won't see another until 2106.
•4:37pm: Eclipse is over and you’re free to enjoy the evening in beautiful Burlington as others fight the hours of traffic home. Return to the railcar for drinks and snacks before another nights sleep in your compartment.
