The Surprisingly Savannah Mobile Tour is here today through July 22st! This multi-city tour aims to bring a slice of Southern hospitality, enticing patrons to book a flight and tour Savannah, one of the most charming cities in Georgia.
When we heard they were coming to Jefferson Market in Center City, we didn’t hesitate to curate a day trip for our guest, Tori, who also calls Georgia her home!
Tori is here as an AmeriCorps volunteer (a program I participated in after undergrad as well!) and was full of information about the delicious food and candy you can find in this charming city. While learning about Savannah’s vibrant culture, we also sampled their famous pralines and honey, both of which were really good!
It was a great experience and definitely whetted my appetite to book a plane ticket in the very near future! If you beat me to it, you can now book a direct flight from Philadelphia to Savannah via American, Frontier, United, and Delta Air Lines!

I can't believe it was this time last year I took my first solo trip to the beautiful landmass that is Europe!
I spent three glorious weeks visiting some of the world 's most stunning museums, eating at the finest eateries, and creating lasting memories in 7 ( Paris, Milan, Rome, Florence, Pompeii and Bologna) of the most beautiful cities I have ever been to in my life!
I will never forget eating pizza, at a bustling eatery, just a stones throw from The Spanish Steps, and the Roman Colosseum with my former guest, Sabrina!
Or the pasta dish my former guest, Angela, made for me! Sitting in her quaint Italian apartment in the picturesque city, Bologna, known as a foody's paradise, was a dream that I dont think I have completely woken up from!
In fact, my time there only wet my appetite for more moments like these with my former guests! That said, I will be traveling to South America this summer, and visiting some of my favorite guests from this equally beautiful part of the world is definitely on the itinerary!

This is where we started. Niccolo, our guest from Milan, Italy, curated the Philly Christmas experience!
This authentic German Chrismas market transforms Love Park and City Hall's courtyard into a winter wonderland, complete with over 100 artisans selling their wares from around the world, holiday favorites like hot wine, fried ores (which Niccolo tried for the first time and quickly fell in love with!) and live entertainment!
After purchasing gifts for family back home in Italy, we whisked Niccolo over to the Mandel Theater on the Drexel Univ. campus to catch the last showing of the hit show, #TheNutcrackerCoveredinChocolate!!

This show takes the classic ballet The Nutcracker and infuses it with a celebration of the diversity of the African diaspora while also honoring the tradition and beauty of ballet. It is the brainchild of Temple University grad Ms. Chanel Holland and performed by dancers with the @ChocolateBallerinaCompany.
We could tell Niccolo loved what we later learned was his first ballet! From his smiles, he especially enjoyed the West African dance pieces that just so happened to include several Afro beats from his playlist! #cool
