Here I am at book signings and book fares a few years back.

I always wanted to be a writer but I'm probably the last person back then that should write a book, lol but- if I could be writer-like, maybe that would be enough.

Turns out I'm decent at it and I have a ton of ideas.

Now, I write all the time, not that it's all good but more to keep my brain engaged. To keep working that "muscle ".

Anyway- no dream is improbable 👊

We interviewed The Champ for 2 hours for but ultimately went in a different direction.

In 1983, shortly before Holme fought Lucian Rodriguez in Scranton Pennsylvania, comma my father took me to lou DeLvecchio's office. He was a fight promoter in North East Pennsylvania and also Larry Holmes's friend.

Dad wanted me to talk to someone who understood boxing better than I did as I was romanticizing boxing due to my love for Rocky.

While we were there the champ called called and Lou put him on speaker to talk to me.

Larry said, " You gotta make a bum drunk before you mug him."

In other words you really have to put in the work before you can come away with some type of a victory.. Along with what Lou had told me about boxing , I surmise boxing might not be for me.

But what could I do I knew I wanted to be rocky?

Anyway as the cameras were rolling for the interview, I began telling Larry this story and he finished the story before I could get to what he told me - he actually remembered it and I got to thank him for being a real angel on my shoulder at that time in my life when I could have taken a left or a right , ending in disaster.

he was a true guiding force in that moment.

Another of my favorite scenes.

I saw this picture up close when I was on set of Balboa. It was beautiful. I know have a replica of Micks pic in my Rocky room.

I can explain it but there is an "energy" of perseverance to it
