On Kauai, I was able to stay at two properties. The first was the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa, a resort that offers so much for guests to enjoy.

Snorkeling is one of my favorite activities in any tropical destination, so I participated in a unique activity offered called an Ocean Safari.

During this excursion, you explore the deep sea along the Kona Coast where I saw dolphins, pilot whales, a massive school of fish, and even a couple of sharks. This experience is perfect for marine life enthusiasts!

My second hotel on the Big Island was the Courtyard by Marriott King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort. This moderately priced hotel is just a short drive from the airport and a great central location for many of the Big Island’s top activities. It’s also within walking distance of a great selection of bars, restaurants, and shops, making it a convenient choice for travelers. If you want to plan a lot of day trips or enjoy Kona’s lively atmosphere, this hotel offers a great balance of comfort and accessibility.

My first stay on the Big Island was at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. This resort is a good choice for families, with multiple pools, including one with a waterslide that kids will love.
