The Worldwide Jet story begins in February 2003, in Orlando, Florida with a Hawker 700. Shortly after certification, the company was moved to the PHL FSDO with operations based out of New Jersey.
In 2005 Worldwide Jet Charter moved to Scottsdale, Arizona and things literally started to take off. The current leadership began assuming prominent roles in the Company and a new vision was formed, reorganizing Worldwide Jet to become the industry leader.
Taking a risk led to an innovative approach to aircraft charter which is now imitated by many. Imitated but not duplicated. Worldwide Jet was an early pioneer in the Coast to Coast “Transcon” or Transcontinental model. By using dual East and West Coast hubs we could quote one-way charters across the country. This was nearly unheard of in the era of roundtrip, aircraft back to base pricing. This was also before the marketplace moved online. Marketing availability and knowing we could sell something back into position was a gamble. It the early days this was done with Challenger 601s a Gulfstream IIB and Gulfstream IIIs; the Gulfstream were replaced by Gulfstream IVs and continues with the current fleet.
In November 2009 the corporate headquarters was moved to its current location in Deer Valley, Arizona.
Worldwide Jet Charter was the first strictly charter operator with an approved iPad EFB program. We were also one of the first with an approved electronic flight release and record keeping program. We were impetus for and the first 135 carrier in the Cockpit Access Security System (CASS) which allows our pilots to “jump seat” on 121 air carriers; and the initial Part 135 carrier to be inducted into the Known Crew Member (KCM) program.
These achievements were made possible with a renowned commitment to safety. Worldwide Jet has been evaluated by the leading industry safety auditors, obtaining ARG/US Platinum, Wyvern Wingman, IS-BAO, and Air Charter Safety Recommended status.
We have flown athletes, entertainers, Fortune 500 CEOs and world leaders including candidates in every Presidential election. Their trust is our endorsement.
When not flying world luminaries, we give back. Worldwide Jet has made a commitment to giving back to the communities in which we live in and serve in. Worldwide Jet and its Chairman is a proud sponsor and member of the Avalon Lions Club, generating donations to support the Hellen Diller Vacation Home for the Blind, among other local charities. Additionally, our President has served two years on the Board of Directors of Goodwill of Northern and Central Arizona, working to eradicate unemployment, and finding jobs for over 80,000 people in Maricopa County alone, during his tenure.
Today, Worldwide Jet aircraft circumnavigate the globe. The addition of a Gulfstream V in June 2014 led to our entrance in the ultra-long-range market leading to our acquisition of the Global Express acquisition in October 2016.
It has been quite the journey and this story is still being told. Each chapter is as new and exciting as the last. With your help, together, we will reach new heights.
