I've not been able to muster words, lately, related to so many things happening in the news. The fact that the US president would strip laws put in place to protect these creatures is just sickening.

Thank goodness for the Elephant Nature Park, Save Elephant Foundation, Lek Chailert, Jodi Thomas, and others who are a part of this beautiful, positive, life affirming and life preserving work.

Thailand's elephants face threats from human settlement and even tourism. Here's what Chiang Mai's Elephant Nature Park is doing about it.

Just came across one of the best things Ive ever seen. The New Environmentalists, narrated by long time eco-activist, Robert Redford, shows short clips on real, present-day, currently-happening eco and cultural situations, and people who are making a difference.

This one brought me to tears. Please take a minute to watch this clip. This woman.... her courage and dedication and committment and strength... is so inspiring.

Had an amazing time exploring the caleta, cenotes, jungle, y playa in the area. Despite this super touristy sign, the area was very undeveloped, and we were some of the only people there.

Had to throw in a pic of the dashboard I sat about 3 inches from, in the cambie to and from. I freaking love Mexico 🇲🇽 If we could only each be as expressive! ⭐️

You all know how much I love Portland. Well, one of my friends and colleagues, Mary Cecchini, founder and director of Living Big Travel, is hosting a 5-day domestic adventure in Portland this July.

If you haven't experienced the city and would like to do so in a super fun, off-the-beaten-path kind of way, Mary's trip would be a great way to experience some hidden gems. Shes lived there her whole life and is a lovely, lovely person, as well. The trip is sure to be a blast! :)

So true. Every time I go to another country I feel a huge sense of psychological relief..... Not to mention the amazing benefit of being in cultures that are more connected to natural elements.

Buenos dias! It's pre-6 am, and I'm happy because more and more airports are implementing these.

This one claims to have eliminated 301,656 plastic bottles -- and saved me $4 (not that I would have actually bought a plastic water bottle...I prefer to beg for water from Starbucks 😉). Not bad! ♻️

Seriously, 300,000 LESS plastic bottles ---- we desperately need more common sense-making, forward thinking approaches like these. So.... I'm thankful for this one.
