Loved getting to see Andrew's Bald on a beautiful spring morning this year! It was a booty workout for sure. 😂
Anyway, here's a few tips for hiking in the Smokey Mountains!
1. Be sure to buy a $5 (daily) parking pass... This is newish and you can buy them at most parking spots in the park from a machine or at the welcome center /visitor centers. $15 /weekly or $40/yearly
2. Certain days are free! There's a total of 6 days this year so check the website. They include Juneteenth, National Public Lands Day, Veterans day, etc.
3. Cades Cove road is closed to cars on Wednesday and Saturday from May until September to allow for only walkers, hikers, bikers, and runners! It would be able a 10 mile loop plus multiple routes to hike. I want to run it then bike it x2 one day. 😂
4. Take water, snacks, and sunscreen.
5. Go early to avoid the crowds and hot temperatures!

Sooo who likes roller coasters?! Are you a person that screams or stays quite?
If you sit next to someone that screams the entire time, that's me. I literally scream the ENTIRE time. My throat is sore for days after riding a few roller coasters. haha
If you're a fan, Dollywood has officially opened for the season!
Oh AND a new roller coaster is now there called Big Bear Mountain.
It's 3,990 feet long and is the longest roller coaster at Dollywood. The ride has a top speed of 48 miles per hour and takes riders through the Wildwood Grove section of the theme park for about 99 to 104 seconds.
I can't wait to go! Who is going this year?!

I hear it from guest often that it's one of their favorite parts of their stay! Me, personally, I prefer just listening to the river and watching the fish. haha

Ok, so how cool is this?!!?
There are three eagles that moved in outside Bearfoot by the River! I had the opportunity to see at least one of them a few times on my last visit. They built a nest behind the building across the river.
You can hear them and see them fly around when you stay at Bearfoot by the River!
I'm excited for you to check them out! I hope every guest gets the opportunity to see them.
Serious question for you though...does this mean I need to change the name of the condo to Eagle's Nest or Eagles Watch? haha
