Good Morning! It has been a terrible weekend for our neighbors over the mountain and in surrounding counties. We have had a LOT of questions about Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville - we are OPEN and operating as usual!

With that being said, some roads getting to Sevier County are closed including I40 in North Carolina. If you are headed our way, please check the road closures to create another route.

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park does have some roads closed as well:

Newfound Gap Road/US 441 from Gatlinburg to Cherokee - Lake View Drive - Balsam Mountain - Big Creek - Cataloochee - Roaring Fork - Greenbrier - Foothills Parkway East - Heintooga Ridge Road - Rich Mountain Road - Kuwohi Road (formerly known as Clingmans Dome Road) - Kuwohi Visitor Center - Oconaluftee Visitor Center

Lots of fall information is being posted online with predictions of “amazing fall color”, “incredible peak colors coming”, etc etc. The fact is, weather is only predictable about 10-14 days out. Weather has a VERY large impact on the colors.

What I’m saying is that it’s still too early to know. We will not have an accurate forecast for the colors for another 2 - 3 weeks.

I’m also seeing posts of early color. Don’t panic. That does not mean fall colors will come early. Some trees and locations just always turn a little early each year. The majority of the color is still very green and will be until early October.

We will start our weekly updates in about 2-3 weeks to let you know how the color is progressing.

The Old Mill Restaurant is getting some renovations!

The Old Mill Restaurant is undergoing some renovations! Our hardworking contractors are currently replacing the siding, giving our beloved restaurant a fresh new look.

We expect the work to be completed in about three - four weeks, and we can't wait to unveil the new facade! In the meantime, we remain open for business with regular hours.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make these improvements.

Additional parking is available at Patriot Park.
