George Strait has set a new record for the largest single ticketed concert in US history with his show at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas on Saturday night.

110,905 fans turned out to attend Strait's concert, breaking a record previously held by Grateful Dead, who had 107,019 Deadheads in attendance for their 1977 show at Raceway Park in New Jersey.

Greg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band passed away on this day seven years ago.

He wrote several of the band's most popular songs, including "Whipping Post", "Melissa", and "Midnight Rider". Allman also had a successful solo career, releasing seven studio albums. He was born and spent much of his childhood in Nashville, Tennessee, before relocating to Daytona Beach, Florida and then Macon, Georgia.

Doug Ingle of Iron Butterfly has died at 78. Ingle was the last remaining original member of the band, who scored a huge hit in 1968 with In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. He was the group’s organist and lead vocalist.

🚨 GROOVY ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨 We’re super excited to announce the “Good Music Monthly Giveaway”! This will be similar to our “Finding Vinyl” scavenger hunt, but with a few new twists. We’ll be adding CDs, books, and more cool music related things. Plus, social media giveaways along with the scavenger hunts! 🤩💿📚🎶All scavenger hunts will be located in local buisness areas and parks to promote shopping local and exercise. Every scavenger hunt will be in a different town. We are located in middle Georgia, so a majority of them will be in peach state. But we’ll also be hitting the road a lot for concerts and maybe coming to a town near you! 🚙💨It bummed us out that we couldn’t do worldwide scavenger hunts, so we decided to include social media giveaways too!
