Welcome to Antigua and Barbuda, the twin island gems of the Eastern Caribbean. Antigua, with an area of 281 sq. km (108 sq. miles), is the larger of the two islands with most of the population and tourism product. Although relatively flat, the islandβs highest point is Boggy Peak, also renamed Mount Obama which stands at 402 m (1,319 ft). Barbuda, with an area of 159 sq. km (62 sq. miles), is a nature loverβs island getaway with miles of untouched beaches and a large Frigate Bird Sanctuary. While the two islands are 63 km (28 mi) apart, they constitute a single nation with one central government.
World renowned for its 365 powdery, white sand and pink sand beaches; one for every day of the year; as well as that extra one for the leap year. Locals will happily remind you, the destination has so much more to offer visitors with world-class restaurants, watersports, nature tours, and rich history and culture. Warm and dry for most of the year, itβs a great sun destination for those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation.
