Our Story

Since 1971, Pine Mountain Club Chalets Resort has been a part of generations of families where the emotional connection of family vacations runs deep. The family-owned and operated 65-wooded acres resort was founded by the late Courson and Gussie Dowis.

The resort started from an inspirational family vacation trip to the mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The Dowis family wanted to bring a little of the Tennessee mountain Swiss Alpine Chalet theme inspired rental homes to their wooded paradise in Pine Mountain, Georgia. With the support of many investors, the Pine Mountain Club Chalets Resort slowly grew to fourty-two privately-owned chalets.

Today, the Pine Mountain Club Chalets Resort or the Chalets features over 100 uniquely designed privately-owned chalets nestled in the beautiful wooded mountain areas in Pine Mountain, Georgia.

The resort specializes in providing vacation rental homes on a short and long-term basis, and unique event venues to include weddings, family reunions, church retreats and more.
