The Coachella Valley floor got 1-2 inches more rain during Hilary in August compared to the Borrego Valley (around 2 inches in Borrego Valley). Resulting in a much bigger display of purple verbena & desert sunflowers, despite all the heat of August and September. This dune wildflower scene was from yesterday afternoon (Photo: Sicco Rood).
