🍽️ To get the dining plan or not to get the dining plan 🤔 - that’s a popular question when planning your Disney vacation. But if you can get it FOR FREE, and if you can take advantage of traveling during the least expensive weeks that the promo is offered, you save even more. Here are some things that you may not know:

⭐️ If you stay at a value, value plus, or moderate resort you will receive the Quick Service plan, however you are encouraged to pay the difference to upgrade to the Dining plan (I will refer to it as “table service” plan from here on out so not to confuse you). If you stay at a deluxe resort you will receive the table service plan.

⭐️ Quick service locations include anywhere that you order at a counter/kiosk/mobile app and seat yourself. I’m not talking about just burgers and chicken tenders. I mean huge serving portions of the Kansas City smoked half chicken with mac and cheese from the Regal Eagle at Epcot, the shrimp tacos from ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios, and the lobster roll from Columbia House at Magic Kingdom - just to name a few!

⭐️ Table service restaurants include any “sit down” places that you are waited on including dinner shows and character buffets*. There are over 90 locations in the theme parks, Disney resorts, and Disney Springs. In the mood for hibachi? Head over to Epcot. Teppan Edo isn’t your typical Japanese restaurant. The chefs add Disney flair to the table. The Animal Kingdom is where you’ll find my favorite breakfast buffet, Tusker House, where not only will you enjoy a wide variety of American and African dishes, but you’ll also be visited by Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy. 😍 I love it when clients send me pictures and reviews of their trips. Tina, Eric, and Kaity just got back from a week in Freeport, Grand Bahamas. They stayed at the Viva Fortuna All Inclusive Resort and described the experience as this: “Fantastic! I would definitely go back! The food was really good, drinks were delicious, and we swam with pigs! I really liked that there were only 2 floors and we were about 20’ from the beach. Amazing! Southwest’s rebooking policy is amazing. Because their flights dropped in price since when I booked their trip I just saved my clients $75 in future flight credits simply by rebooking the same exact flight under their confirmation number. The credits never expire. Does your travel agent look out for you this way? Maybe you should book with me instead …!!

Do you have any restaurants that you absolutely must eat at while at Disney? The “Z” family’s tradition of attending the Hoop Dee Doo R***e continues! Today was Advanced Dining Reservations day and not only was I able to book this crazy fun dinner show, I also got their new favorite Teppan Edo and a very hard to get reservation at Space 220. One more part of planning has been checked off their list.
