Transforming Spaces with Innovation: Discover the Xchange Tower Project. DL Metal Design was awarded the miscellaneous and ornamental metals for this amazing 26-story tower project in NJ with amazing views of the NY skyline over the river. DL Metal performed a variety of metal work including a custom ACM Entry Canopy, Elevator Support Steel, Pool Level Sail Canopy Posts, Woven Wire Mesh Partition Systems, and custom DLM-designed and fabricated octagonal column covers with drink rails for the 19th-floor amenity space. Another successful project for DLM and a new lifelong client!

Black Rock Middle School –

It’s no surprise that a building made for the transformation of young minds would ultimately undergo a transformation of its own. DL Metal Design was more than happy to partner with Black Rock Middle School and supply the property with its new outdoor flat top, powder coated, tube steel, picket railings. Wrapping around a sectioned perimeter of the main entrance, the design of a simple, sturdy, and reliable safety railing was perfectly executed and achieved by our skilled metal workers. Though this project was completed some time ago, our craftsmanship never fails to prove that it can stand the test of time.

Our machines range in capabilities including plasma cutting, oxy fuel cutting up to 6” solid steel, pneumatic scribing, marker layout, metal bending, 3-D printing, and both wood and aluminum vacuum table routing. Did you know: Steel Is 1,000 Times Stronger Than Iron! When compared to pure iron steel is roughly 1,000 times stronger! Adding just a small amount of carbon to steel significantly increases its tensile strength, resulting in a superior level of strength compared to pure iron. That makes steel the ultimate weightlifter at any gym! Not only can it support mind-boggling loads, but did you also know that a single steel beam can carry up to 24 fully grown elephants? Career Day:
DL Metal Design not only shares inspiration through our finished projects, but we also gladly share our skills, path of success, expertise, and insight through guidance whenever possible. When presented with the opportunity to speak with the students at Esperanza Academy Charter School, in Philadelphia, PA our president David Lopez was more than happy to pass on knowledge to future generations eager to learn. We understand that the path to a bright and lucrative career is best achieved through shared wisdom. Learning from those before us has allowed for huge advances in innovation and has pushed others to achieve greatness. Providing the students of Esperanza Academy with answers to all their questions amongst other successful leaders to help with their future career making decisions was a true honor. According to the school counselor Roxanne Delgado, “It was evident that your commitment in helping our students in their career decision-making process made a significant impact in their lives...Our students couldn't stop chattering about what careers they listened to, connections they built, and the possibilities that lie ahead for them...”. We here at DL Metal Design are happy our collective expertise contributed to “making the event an extraordinary success” which only inspires us to continue giving back whenever possible.

Steel Is One of the World’s Most Recycled Materials: Believe it or not most of the steel products and objects we see aren’t made of newly created steel, but rather are made of recycled steel! Not only is steel incredibly strong and versatile, but it also has the remarkable ability to be recycled indefinitely without losing any of its qualities. It’s like the Energizer Bunny of metals! Statistics show steel has a global recycling rate of roughly 60%, meaning over half of all steel is recycled and reused. Steel can be recycled for up to 150 years after it is first produced. How’s that for an eco-friendly superhero? When looking at steel shops like ours at DL Metal Design, we can envision all the different forms steel used to take before we got our hands on it and what it could become long after we’re gone. Ewing Town Center Clubhouse –

It takes the right vision to transform what once was a General Motors plant into a hub of residential & communal living space. It also takes the right company to make that vision a reality which is why was granted such an opportunity. This new community was outfitted with a residents-only clubhouse & clubroom that required top-quality metal fabrications for a high-end amenities space. DLM was tasked with designing and supplying over 85 linear feet of custom cantilevered canopies, break metal false column assemblies, custom furniture, banquet partitions that included white art glass with perforated metal panel frames, and large metal skylight surrounds. Projects like this show the large range of DL Metal Design’s expertise. DLM is a one stop turnkey partner for all your metal needs. Project Liberty Terminal –

Whether by land or by sea, will be there to get the job done. When chosen to help rebuild the former Texaco fuel terminal DLM knew we had the perfect team of engineers, coordinators & builders to make it a reality. After initial interviews, DLM was awarded a contract to build and install the reconstructed barge dock, grating land to sea access platform and stairs, security fencing, railings, fish screen gate system, dock edge barge bump rail, and various piping support structures. DLM was entrusted to be a critical partner in this project and supported all aspects of the project life cycle. This included performing advanced geolocation to create the base benchmarks and grid for the dock from land to its final build location over the water, performing multiple design assist duties in resolving multiple issues with driven beam and sheet piles already in place, and state of the art 3-D CAD and geolocated models and overlays to make sure everything was installed perfectly so all trades behind us had precise information to complete their tasks. Our team planned and executed this project flawlessly, and we look forward to the next challenge.

Project Jackpot – DL Metal Design was a proud team member of the new 160MM dollar expansion project that brought over 60,000 sq/ft of meeting space, hundreds of new hotel rooms, and many new jobs to the economy. DL Metal Design was contracted for what would be our largest project at the time to supply various ornamental metal products including the 12 story main egress stairs, water jet 3/8” thick Corten art panels, custom finished aluminum roof screen art panels, ornamental railings, and much more. Supplying exactly what our clients need with reasonable market pricing and a focused plan of attack is one of the main reasons we were chosen for this project. At DLM we pride ourselves on making sure we are always pushing # perfection and efficiency for everyone involved. We became a trusted partner and supported the GC and owner with various unexpected issues throughout the project lifecycle. At times we were onsite in less than 24 hours with materials and/or manpower to keep the project moving forward. As our company continues to expand, we will continue working to build lasting relationships by exceeding expectations with our fabricated products. We are looking forward to the many exciting new projects on the horizon and for the opportunity to share those successes as we complete lasting builds.

Washington Waterfront – Nestled between residential apartment buildings and D.C's is the must see Wharf park installation. Originally established in the 1950s, this area has had various design changes between 1968 & 1972. was a partner in the revitalization of the Wharf with the design and supply of the ornate glass canopy sections. The tiered arced glass design offered a stepped transition between panels and gave the canopy an enhanced open-air feel. Having the privilege to be a part of this creative outdoor space within our is one we won’t take lightly. DLM never fails to prove that we are the ideal company for all projects in every style, size and location.

Project Higher Learning - The picturesque founded in 1866 has become an important institution for the State of PA. Along the way, the campus itself has had many changes and upgrades to its estate with being chosen to support that endeavor. With multiple project awards from we continue to support the growth of the university. One of the major recent projects included the new Kutztown University Wells-Rapp Center for Mallet Percussion Research. The addition of this 2-story research facility included an ornate shaped structure designed and installed by DL Metal Design along with a variety of miscellaneous and ornamental steel items. From the second you drive up you will see the custom powder coated trellis, exterior powder coated and stainless rails, along with the modern style entry canopy fabricated in our facility. As you enter the building the monumental egress stair, that includes a 3-story custom graphic painted metal perforated panel wall, sets the tone for a beautifully designed space and top-quality workmanship. Just as higher education allows for the growth & development of the human mind, Kutztown U provided our company with a major opportunity to showcase the efficiency & quality of our . Project Touchdown: Taking a step back to put focus on is a goal that various company’s campaign, but rarely do. While striving for and achieving the larger projects we aim for, never forgets the smaller endeavors that are always there, but often overlooked. Cottingham Stadium is just such a place with its newly renovated stadium main access gates, railings, and exterior façade. Helping to update a school stadium not only provides a better-looking arena, but it also gives a sense of pride to all the students who march through those gates getting ready for their team to battle. Our ensured the architectural intent to match the original gates and fencing were met without concessions and built a system that will last for decades to come. From the refurbished side gate that was donated by the Class of 1936, to the new main gates built custom at our Philadelphia facility, DL Metal Design took pride in being selected to help revitalize a community space with such great tradition. No matter what the project we never dismiss a client’s opportunity to add a bit of creativity and style. We at DLM pride ourselves on being able to showcase that any metal installation can have personality and stability. Playing a part in creating a space for athletes, students and neighbors alike is a gift that will always score big. No matter the project or contribution DLM will be there.

This collaboration manifested itself in the combination seen before you. The idea to incorporate cold, rigid steel with the calming, organic nature of wood has been utilized as an artform for years and is an experience that DLM fully supports.
