Sam Patch Tour Boat Join us for a leisurely 90-minute cruise on our replica packet boat on the historic Erie Canal.

Corn Hill Navigation, the operator of the Sam Patch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your ticket purchases enable us to contribute to the economic revitalization of the Rochester region, fostering the growth of tourism here and educating tens of thousands of area school children who study the Erie Canal and history of Rochester. Proceeds from our public cruises also support the care and mai

ntenance of our vessel, making it possible to extend our reach to tourists, area residents, individuals with special needs and students, many of whom are underserved. For many of our passengers, our cruises provide the only opportunity to enjoy first hand the experience of the history, science economic importance and simple delight or our legendary waterways.

A Flotilla Finale: On this stunningly spectacular late October morning in Fairport, NY—some of the very last boats on the Erie Canal head to dry dock for the off-season. And a rare sight as a trio of tour boats travel east: the Colonial Belle, Riverie and Sam Patch are all traveling together as they navigate to their winter homes. The two smaller boats will dry dock in nearby Macedon, NY while the Belle proceeds further east to Lyons. They’ll return to service in 2025–a huge year for the Erie Canal as this historic waterway marks its bicenntenial. Colonial Belle NYS Canal Corporation
