We had an amazing week of hunting that peaked Thursday evening when our hunter from Alaska harvested this beautiful 51” bull after it came in grunting to the calls.

With over 50 moose sightings and other adventures throughout the week, memories were made that will last a lifetime.

I’ve made some posters to help keep Dad’s story current. A person may recall something that may be helpful. Maybe someone will find one of his possessions that wouldn’t have broken down after all this time. If so, contact the Maine State Police. I would love to hear from anyone involved in the search, or the support of the search. It was such a huge effort, from the local community and from far away. Yesterday, I began distributing the posters. To every person I talked to: You were all very kind and very willing to help. Thank you so much for your support.

Josh and I just got back from an amazing DIY backcountry Caribou hunt in Alaska. Hiking over 30mi in 5 days on the tundra with the final 7mi pack out was grueling and challenging but totally worth it!

We had a great ‘24 Bear Camp this year. Awesome group of new and returning hunters that quickly joined together for lots of laughs and memories.

Of the 6 hunters, 4 harvested bears and everyone had multiple bear encounters.

Maine Moose Lottery results are in!
The air was filled with moose calls and excitement as all the names of the 2024 Maine moose permit winners were read in Fort Kent today. If you weren’t able to join in today’s in-person festivities, you can now view the lottery results at https://moose.informe.org/.
The deadline for successful applicants to purchase their permit online is July 18, 2024 at 11:59pm. Answers to FAQs can be found at mefishwildlife.com/moosepermit.
Congratulations to all of this year’s winners! You are all an important part of Maine’s moose management and we wish you all a memorable season.
