Placida Beach Condo units are on this private barrier island which has no bridges and no cars. Guests have access to the free hourly ferry and island pool.

Escape to this secluded beach and nature lovers paradise Little Gasparilla Island; a bridge-less, car-less, 200 yard wide, barrier island right on the Gulf. AKA the "Green Roof Condos", LGI is only accessible by boat or by our private hourly ferry (included). There is a freshwater pool (also included) right on the island. Truly a fisherman's paradise with private dock. The unit has bamboo hardwood throughout and an open East view of the bay and screened lanai. High speed unlimited WIFI.

One week post Hurricane Milton. Buildings are standing strong, much of the debris has been piled away thanks to a few owners and workers. Still much to do. Electrical and water systems in need of repair or replacement. Many neighbouring homes need major repairs or have been completely wiped off the island.

with all the devastation on the island this hurricane season, images are just coming in and it looks like Placida Beach Properties after all the Hurricane Ian upgrades has survived.
Others... not so much :(

Pictures are 4 years apart.
Its been 1 year since the island was devastated by 210 mile per hour winds out of the East. Many homes were levelled, others barely a scratch. Like our unit - 1 of 6 in the complex that remains in great condition while our neighbors are still rebuilding from scratch. The good news is we are all sealed in and the exterior work is (mostly) complete. Interior work is starting now with HVAC Electrical and plumbing and finally of course Drywall. The trees and vegetation has been flattened too but already on the mend.

Update.
Power is back on. Water service is back on. Ac units are running. Some temporary roofs are already installed. Lots of debris to deal with. The Power of people!
Some upper middle units are a write off. Somehow our lower end unit 402 was unscathed and dry as a bone with no wind or water damage! How lucky are we!
