In 2008, my boyfriend brought me to Little Gasparilla Island for the first time. In 2012, we came back as husband and wife and brought our daughter. She opted to stay on the island the entire week and skip the Florida attractions. Like us she was hooked. We took her fishing, shell and shark tooth hunting and taught her how to boogie board. In 2016, we came back with all three of our children. We v

isited the Florida sites, but gave most the time to our little island. It was during this time that my husband and I started talking about how perfect it would be to retire on Little Gasparilla. We found some land and when we got home we started negotiations. We closed on the property and came back in the spring of 2017 to see the land and start to visual our dream. Pilings went up in the fall of 2017 and the house is starting to become a reality. My husband and I are not ready to retire yet, so we made the decision to rent out our dream so that others can come to paradise and enjoy it as much as we do. We would love for you to come visit and share your memories. One visit and we are sure you will be hooked like us, and we would love to hear about the memories that you have made. We will continue to post pictures from our visits and of the creation of the house. Rentals will be available in 2018. We are so excited to have you make our home and island yours.

“Amazing home at an incredible location.
This was our fifth family vacation to LGI and the first to Cloud 9. We were not disappointed. The house was everything we needed in a house and more. The house is well equipped and comfortable. The living area on the main was plenty big enough for our family of 6 adults and our newest addition, 7 month old Knox. The three bedrooms and 3 bathrooms gave us the privacy that we needed. Sara was super easy to work with and very attentive…looking forward to next year.”

Received an email from a guest who meant to write in our guest book, but forgot. She shared her many highlights from Cloud 9 on LGI

“I was part of the 6% that saw the cereus blooms

One night we saw a turtle come up on the beach.

We were fishing around Cayo Costa area where we caught a baby hammerhead!!

We also so several starfish, we then saw what was not less than an 8 foot shark where we were fishing just around the corner from entrance to Cabbage Key.

Our last day, the algae moved in and low and behold brought about 20 manatees grazing by….. what a magical moment. I had seen them from the house decks before, but never right on the beach. It was just beautiful.

We ended up taking the boat to the pass by Boca where we go many times and watched the dolphins having dinner over there for a coupe of hours.”

A previous guest just sent me these photos. Nesting turtles and kayak rides are a great way to enjoy the island.

Cloud 9 and LaLa are my two favorite places on the island. LaLa is where we discovered our love for the island and Cloud 9 is where it continues to grow. ❤️

Just introduced another new family to Cloud 9. I asked them what they thought at the end of their stay, and here is what they said.

"We loved our stay at Cloud 9! Your home is so beautiful as was the location. Everything was so clean & well organized. I enjoyed cooking in your gourmet kitchen with amazing views over the deck to the gulf. We had fun collecting sharks teeth & shells on what felt like almost our own private beach. There were many opportunities to see wildlife too! Thanks for allowing us to share your slice of paradise."

Walking the beach this past September I thought I saw a large whelk or conch, but then it started to move…..

A weekend at Cloud 9!

Met a new friend under the house.

Waited on the beach for the sunset and it was just too cloudy. Nothing but blue and grey. Packed it up, and when I got to the deck of the house this was waiting for me. Oh, LGI, you never disappoint!
