The getaway of a lifetime
Our home is oriented to provide breath-taking, unobstructed, panoramic views of the Gulf from the kitchen/living area, the screened-in dining room/porch, the master bedroom and the top deck suite. Floor-to-ceiling windows across the entire beach-side, provide an infinity effect and the open-plan layout creates a feeling of wide-open space. We are on the southern end of Little Gasparilla Island and our little section of houses have both the widest lots on the island (100ft) and the widest spacing between properties (30ft), for maximum privacy. As a bonus, the lots adjacent to us on the south side are undeveloped! And because there's deep foliage between us and the house to our north, you'll feel completely secluded. (We've uploaded a video so that you can see for yourself.) There's something special about sitting on the back porch watching the sun go down, without anyone else around. Makes it feel like it's your own, private sunset. The beach is at it's widest in front of our house and, because the houses on the southern end of the island are properly set back off the beach, you can stroll along it and enjoy the dunes and sea oats as your backdrop. Bring down a lounger and, with so few people, you'll feel like you're on your own private stretch of beach. To get a perspective on island life you can check us out on IG at cocosbeachhousefl_ In the house the master bedroom has a king-sized bed and en-suite shower with walk-through toilet/bidet. The second bedroom also has a king-sized bed and en-suite shower/bathroom. The top deck suite has 2 twin beds with en-suite shower/toilet/basin. There's a games/bonus room that could be used as an extra bedroom (with 2 mattresses), so the house can sleep a total of 8. We charge more for groups larger than 4. Minimum stay is 4 nights, and we offer a discounted rate for weekly/monthly stays. The outdoor, screened-in dining area is our favorite room in the house, especially at sunset. It has a large table and comfortable seating for 6. There's no better place to dine while you watch the sun go down over the water, and the sky and clouds to light up. Our games/bonus room has lots of board games. On the lower level, the outside deck on the Gulf-side has a picnic table that will seat everyone comfortably and plenty of space for deck chairs/loungers with a clear view to the water. Our boardwalk will take you almost all the way there - you'll pick up some sand in your toes getting over the last dune. Beside the lower deck we have a sheltered, sandy area for badminton/volleyball. Getting on/off the island (and leaving the crowds behind) is easy with the boat taxi (5 mins from the mainland), or you can rent a boat (10 mins to the mainland), or bring your own. Our association has 2 docks for guests on the island (on a first come/first served basis). Fishing all around the island is unsurpassed (flats/inshore, nearshore and offshore) - snook, snapper, grouper, redfish, trout, tarpon... If you don't have a boat, fishing guides will pick you up from the island. There are lots of fun restaurants to boat to for lunch/happy hour/dinner to the north; and to the south - Boca Grande. It has public docks so you can pull in and walk into town for fine dining, fun dining, cocktails, art galleries, wine bars, you name it. When you're done exploring, come on back to the island to relax and get away from all that (and in good time to prepare yourself something to drink while you watch the sun go down over the water). Be prepared to discover that you've slept-in late in your comfy, king-sized bed, because there are none of the usual noises to wake you up! The island has no garbage trucks, police sirens, delivery vans, cars and their horns or lawn care services with their leaf blowers. The only thing you'll wake up to is that gorgeous beach view - of sea grapes, sea oats, sand dunes and sun speckled water and waves. So that you can maximize your fun time and avoid having to do multiple grocery runs, we have a regular fridge/freezer, plus two small fridges and a small freezer. And we try to provide all the convenience items so that you can make it a vacation, not a logistics operation: we have small soaps/shampoo/paper products/charcoal for the grill/trash bags/etc. Once you get to the island the first time, you can arrange for our concierge to pick you up from the dock and help you get everything to the house. You can rent a golf cart on the island to explore the sandy paths and the State Park in the middle of the island; or you can walk up along the beach. The island is about 7 miles long, the State Park is
